native.newTextField consistancy

Perhaps this isn’t a Corona specific issue, but the font size for a native text field seems pretty broken. I’m on build 833 and testing on the simulator, iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1) and a Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.0.4).

Using the sample code, I set the textField height to be slightly bigger on Android, but the font size seems totally different on the simulator v.s. iPad v.s. Android. I have tried a TrueType font, and the native.systemFont - both seem to have similar issues. Can someone provide some basic code that gives a more uniform feel across each device.

I’m going to give this a bump. The rest of my app looks really consistent across several iOS and Android devices. This native textField is the last issue to address. Any advice would be most appreciated. [import]uid: 140429 topic_id: 28092 reply_id: 114420[/import]
