Native.showWebPopup does not allow images to be saved

If I load a webpage with images on it in Safari on an iPhone I can press on the image and get the pop up to save the image to my camera roll. When I load the same web page in native.showWebPopup that functionality is not available. Any idea why not?

I thought it was to have the same attributes as the resident browser in this case IOS Safari.
