Native text feild bug

Ok I submitted a bug report a week ago and have heard nothing back. This bug with native text boxs not returning began phase with a text listener. This is a big problem for me because I need to reposition the text box on the began phase. (case 45529) sent a poke 3 days ago.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

Hi.  I don’t know the details of what you put in your bug and I haven’t seen the test case you should have attached to the bug (if my demo works for you and you can’t find the issue w/ your test case, please post a link to it here), but this is working OK *  for me in build 2016.2854:

Sample for you to download:  http://github.com/roaminggamer/RG_FreeStuff/raw/master/AskEd/2016/04/native_textbox.zip

  *  - Only tested in simulator on Window.  So, there is the possibility this won’t work on your test device.  You can build my example and check it.

I am on mac using stable build 2830 and daily build 2855

Your demo does not work like it does on windows.

I have not tested it on IOS , but testing it on my mac is really important.

@Scott,

Roger that.  I just confirmed that 2854 on the Mac Corona Simulator exhibits this issue too.

I then updated to 2861 and verified the issue still exists.

PS - Have you dug back and found a version where this worked?  That could help the Engineers narrow down the cause of the issue. i.e. If they knew version X worked and version X+1 did not, they could look at what changed.

Just a thought.  Anways, sorry this is holding you up.  I had hoped it was a coding issue so you could move forward. :frowning:

Thanks for trying, @Ed

I will look for an old version while a wait for a Miracle (Rob or other corona staff)

Thanks,

Scott

Its been assigned to an engineer, but I don’t know where in his queue this is.
