Hi Corona forum, I wasn’t sure where to post this because the collaboration section doesn’t seem to have very much activity/traffic and the certified developer section does not yet exist. I just really need some help. I’m looking for a developer who is fluent in Corona to take over a game project that has great potential for success. Unfortunately, I have exhausted all of my financial resources to fully complete the project. However, I will split all sales profits 50/50 with the developer who takes on and fully completes this game. Also, I am not a developer/coder. I simply came up with a game concept and paid others to create it. What I have is a solid foundation of source code that needs some revamping and updates. The game was previously released on the App Store for $0.99 but sales were weak due to a very high learning curve (levels are too long and complex; players easily frustrated and give up). Despite this, the majority of ratings were 5 stars and reviews were overall very good. In fact, Chillingo considered my game for a publishing contract but declined until the learning curve was easy enough to keep players hooked. I have learned a lot from user and developer feedback/suggestions and from researching other very successful games. First of all, the game needs a story. It never had one. Second, the game needs a better title. Third, it needs a new app icon with a thin border and more engaging graphic. It needs better screenshots with text overlay. The game needs overly simplified levels with on-screen instructions (which I have now designed). I believe 20-25 levels should be free with in-app purchases to unlock all levels and to purchase more levels (another 25, 50, or 75 levels). Free apps with in-app purchases gross more total revenue than paid apps on the Apple App Store. It also needs Facebook/Twitter integration and revamped Game Center achievements. The game is currently on the Apple App Store in 2 versions, one for iPhone/iPod and one for iPad. I would like to make it a single universal app and I’m pretty sure that this can be done. Built with Corona and Lime. I would also like to port it to Android if possible. So if you are an experienced game developer and know how to make games that sell themselves, this may be the right opportunity for you. The hard work has already been done: solid source code foundation, nice art and graphics, tight physics, music and sounds, and nice user interface. Just need to make the changes I discussed above and any other modifications that you think will help maximize profits. In speaking with developers, I was told it would take approximately 1 month to do the revision and have the final product. If this all sounds good to you, tell me more about yourself and your experience and why you would be the best fit for this project. You will have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before the source code would be made available to you. This could be a quick win for the right developer! Looking forward to the forum’s replies.
