New App: Barcode To API [android] - Released

A friend of mine was in a need of an application, where he can scan a barcode (e.g. a milk bottle), enter some value (e.g. number of bottles left in stock) and submit these two values to a pre-defined API url using a POST request.

Me: I can do it for you in 4 hours!  ( Using Corona SDK )

… a week passed

…well, I think every one developer has his/here experiences with optimistic estimates. But 40 hours later (10x the estimate) I had the app released, including setting up a simple  website (using Hugo + Amazon S3 + it’s free SSL for the first time), including designing app and Play store graphics.

Corona SDK and the (paid) barcode plugin was a time-saver when building this app!
