Hi guys,

I’ve started to use Corona but I can’t find some useful stuff like - how to make the basic things for a game: how to load a background, how to animate a sprite, etc…

Please… : -) So you didn’t study the samples and read the documents? Do you want me to write your game for you? I charge 50 USD an hour. And now seriously. Loading a background is loading an image. Look into display.newImage. It is in the samples too. Animate sprites, well it is there too. The topic about spritesheets in the game engine covers that variation of sprites. There are also so called movieclips, another way to animate images.

:slight_smile: The samples ship with Corona inside the samples folder of your Corona installation.

Then look in the menu on the top of this website. Huge button “Resources” There you find links to the API documentation, other docs that get your started, more sample code and video.

Also on top of this website there is a code exchange button. There you will find some user and AM code posted. Btw. there you can post your samples too if you want to share them one day.

No problem. Take you time and do yourself a favor by studying the stuff. There is a lot imfo there and you should really start small. And ask if you need help.
