New user with a giant doubt

Hello, my name is Ricardo and I have a great doubt about Corona.
In the last few weeks, I’ve been looking for a cross-platform game engine with a good documentation and an active community. Obviously the best result I had in my research led me to Corona.

But I am a new developer who wants to create a game in his spare time. In this case, it is not possible for me to pay for the license as possibly spend several months just learning about game development. So the big question is: How far the Trial Version allows me to go? Is it possible for me to develop as if I had a licensed version? (obviously without the possibility of completing the game). What I lose in starting my studies with the trial version?

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I did not find the answer anywhere. Thank you all. And let’s create some games!

Hi Ricardo, your English is very impressive

Let me explain to you the difference between the trial version and being licensed.

The trial version lets you work on your app for an UNLIMITED amount of time.

The difference is that you need to buy a license to publish your app on the store (as you already noted in your post) and that only paid users get access to daily builds.

That means that when you have a license you get new builds every day which have the latest features and bug fixes in them whereas if you are a trial user you need to wait until there is a stable release to get the new features that have been added since the last stable build rather than having immediate access to them.

Does this make sense?

Thank you Peach, you totally made ??sense.
Now i can see the disadvantages from Trial Version.

You are great, thank you again! [import]uid: 153575 topic_id: 27063 reply_id: 109940[/import]

No worries at all Ricardo, thank you for the kind words, I hope you will enjoy using Corona  [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 27063 reply_id: 109972[/import]
