Newbie: How does corona work for android apps.

Hi,

I am newbie and started using Corona SDK few hours ago, my question is

  1. Does corona convert Lua code to java for android?

  2. If not, does Lua compiled binaries run on the device having Lua4Android interepreter?

  3. If yes, where does the conversion/build happen (in local machine or some server?)

  4. can I build and App without the android SDK? and test it on android emulator locally?
