Newbie Question About Ads

I have never used ads like AdMob or any of the likes before. How do I exactly get started (from zero)? Does the Starter kit support AdMob? Do I have to register with AdMob first? If not, do they pay out to us through Corona? Thanks in advance.

Starter accounts can use ads. 

Yes, you have to register with AdMob first.  You will get one or more ID’s depending on your desire to build for Android and/or iOS and your desire to use banner ads and or Interstitial ads.  You will have to set up your payout information with Google.
