Newer builds don't install on Android SD, why? How I fix it?

Qualcomm invited us to maybe participate in a program of theirs, and the first step is that they do a very through analysis of our stuff.

Newer titles submitted to them, they complained that they refuse to install directly to SD.

At first I thought it was a fluke of sorts, but today I was fiddling with AppBrain AppTimiser (or something like that the name) and noticed it too, warn me that our most recent games don’t support even move to SD…

Why is that? What changed Corona to cause that?

Also, how I fix it?

Whoa, noone know how to fix that?

I know we don’t support reading/writing from the SD card.  Let me see if thats true for where the app has to run as well.

Any news on this?

I am very sure old Corona versions supported this (and it was the default).

Also, all new apps I can MOVE to the SD card, I cannot only INSTALL directly to SD card…

I have a theory that this is the reason my application was recently rejected on the Samsung store.

According to the Engineers, for Google Play, any licensed content (using their licensing) can be moved to an SD card.  Google does this to protect your apps from being copied.  Any one could pull the SD card, move it to a computer and grab and share your apps.  If you’re app isn’t LVL licensed sign, then Google won’t permit the move.   What does this have to do with Samsung?

Well we don’t know what Samsung is doing internally to protect your apps.  We don’t know if they have a licensing system.  Corona apps by default should be able to be installed either place provided the OS and Store permits it from what controls we have.

Thanks for the response Rob!  I will try to get more info from Samsung… hopefully I can figure out what the issue is.
