News about other Platforms (Osx, Windows 8)

Hi,

are there any news about other Platform support

it was LONG time ago announced to do build for OSX.

(still wondering whats the big prob, as the emulator is already on OSX. it would kinda just need to

implement the app itself as standart opening) would be enough.

and Windows 8?

Thanks

chris

Corona SDK is currently working on Windows 8 Phone support (Metro apps, not x86 apps).  Creating a new platform is an incredibly difficult engineering task, especially going to a world like Windows 8 where there are significant platform differences.

As for other platforms, we are a mobile company and our focus has to be on supporting people building for mobile devices.  While building OS-X and Windows x86 apps is something we want to do, its not something we can do right now.

i understand, but maybe u make yourself too much head.

most of us would be just happy with the same features we get through the emulator.

so the emulator including our app in a package… that should be not the world, or?

yes, it will not have ALL features like the device (ads etc)… but most of us would be just

happy with that what we get offered with the simulator.

please think about and put it in ur next meeting…

as said… most of us would be just happy with a simple hack thats the emulator plus included

our app… just…  so we could share that one package with others.

ps. ROB… i really appreciate your work… u are one of the very less from the team in the last years

I finally see even going into a topic and giving us some answer !!

thanks for that
