I just bought a Nextbook 8 to use for testing Android apps. I figured for $100 as long as it worked “okay” that would be good enough (just testing to make sure apps look okay, mainly).
However, while I can download/install/run apps from Google Play, none of the Corona SDK-built apps I’ve tried will work.
I tested two of my own, installed via Dropbox, and both quit even before the splash screen.
So I went through the Showcase here and looked up 6-8 different apps in Google Play and in each case it says “This app is not compatible with your device.”
I wondered if I’d grabbed an ARMv6 device but in the specs for this tablet it says, “Based on AML8726-MX Cortex A9 (dual core)” which (according to Wikipedia) is an ARMv7 chip.
Any ideas on what’s wrong? If it’s not compatible it’s not compatible, but I’d like to find out why so when I get a different one I don’t run into the same thing again.

PS - The tablet is running Jelly Bean.
