NFC support?

I know its early days… but just wondering where NFC support is (if at all) on the Corona SDK roadmap? Is it on the radar? [import]uid: 22274 topic_id: 9601 reply_id: 309601[/import]

What is NFC? [import]uid: 12108 topic_id: 9601 reply_id: 35282[/import]

National Football Conference…

NOT

It means Near Field Communication -

And the answer is no. We are not supporting NFC in the short/near future.

Thanks Carlos. Yes I know its early days and iOS does not support it (yet!)… but you do support that other OS, right?

Anyway… I didn’t think it would be a priority, but no harm in asking. [import]uid: 22274 topic_id: 9601 reply_id: 35309[/import]

I think you should seriously reconsider the support for NFC in Corona for Android (and later on for iOS  ). NFC as a sensor has definitely the potential to change human computer interaction for mobile apps. I can easily argue that it will be as important - if not more - than GPS and Bluetooth. If resources are limited to develop this within Corona now, is it possible to pay for an additional fee to do so? Or does Corona have a module interface in which community members can do so on their own?

Thanks,

I also like to call you attention to nfc, i think like “jediapi”, he made a good point, and think it could be feature important in the very short future:
