Nice tick font that changes on different devices

Hi guys,

I would appreciate any suggestions how to set up nice tick font, like one used in Pop the Lock game?
Is that just custom font or… ?

If I use custom fonts, how to change its size depending on device screen size?
Obviously the same font size is not a good choice (display.newText) for iPhone 4S, iPhone 6 or iPad 4 at the same time/code.

Many thanks.
Ivan

What do you mean by ‘tick font’?

re: Size.  As with all things Corona, Text objects scale based on your scale settings in config.lua. i.e. If a rectangle gets 50% larger due to scaling, so will a text object.

Tnx Roaminggamer!
Yes, size…
I will experiment.
I’ve just issued my first game, and I found that 70% is marketing ans 30% everything else :frowning:
I am a little disinpointed, but I will manage
Tnx.

Yes like @RoamingGamer said… Config.lua will resize everything for you… What do you mean “marketing” and “everything else”?

If you have relativly good game, and you do not spread it on social networks, if you do not pay facebook ads, and etc… chances are that you will have under 100 downloads because there is a lot of games on the app store, and who will find yours!?
Google Play I will try soon, but I will not hope much so I dont disipoint myself…

So invest in marketing even more than in actual game development, because this businness is becoming almost a rollercoaster/roulete
My honest opinion if you asked
