Currently testing Corona Cloud aka GameMinion. Not anywhere near as polished as OpenFeint was. Corona Labs hasn’t indicated what they intend to charge for Corona Cloud. (OpenFeint’s business model was different as thus free)
Rolling your own is probably a good amount of work though and you’d need a server somewhere for the back end.
Corona Cloud does have additional features that may be useful in addition to leaderboards. Chat room, News, facebook and twitter SSO.
The portal itself still feels a bit rough around the edges, especially compared to OpenFeint. If your interested in the beta, apply here:

WideAwakeGames is correct in saying that the current Game Minin (Corona Cloud) portal is still rough and is not where we want it to be. This was mainly due to the fact that prior to the Corona acquisition our focus was on the core technology and making sure we get that spot on from the start.
Now one of the benefits of being part of Corona Labs is that we have access to more resources, where we can grow the team exponentially and get things done in fraction of the time.
Just to share with you; our top priority list at this stage is:
* Developer Portal
* Supporting Resources; Sample project, Docs and Tutorial
* Corona SDK integration
We are getting great feedback and comments, likes, hates that we are tackling and rolling out into our service quickly. Keep them coming.
