No output in Corona Simulator from Glider

Neither graphical nor console output displays when the configured Corona simulator is launched upon invoking “run” from the IDE.

If I open the main.lua of the same project directly from the simulator, it works just fine.

My Glider prefs pointing to the CoronaSDK look fine to me and I reset it just to make sure.

Anyone seen this before? [import]uid: 75226 topic_id: 33542 reply_id: 333542[/import]

Hello John,

Does the same thing happen when you click Debug?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes it happens under debug as well. Corona is installed under the top-level Applications folder, but I am running under a user other than the one I was using when I installed either Corona or Glider. If nothing jumps out at you, I’ll simply uninstall and reinstall both as my new dev user account.

I reinstalled Corona and Glider both and I’m getting the same result. How does Glider pass the location of the main.lua file to the Simulator? It’s acting as if the Simulator doesn’t have a file to open and run. The handoff may not be happening.

I installed the demo of Corona Project Manager and it launches the same project just fine. [import]uid: 75226 topic_id: 33542 reply_id: 133295[/import]

I’ve uploaded the logs and added your gmail acct to my contacts. Although I’ve used gmail and not gchat, it seems easy enough. I’ll send you my gmail address. [import]uid: 75226 topic_id: 33542 reply_id: 133383[/import]

I deleted the Application support folder for Glider and the problem no longer occurs!

Thanks for being responsive.

Hello,

I do not want to create a new topic, but I have absolutely the same problem.

Win 7 / glider 1.19 updated.

Tried to delete the folder “. luagliderv19.”. It did not help.

Thanx and sorry for my english.

Regards,

Klim

Hello Klim,

Sorry you are having this issue.

Do the other debugger features work? like breakpoints, pause and stop? Does the same problem occur with a simple example (ie a corona sdk sample project?)

Please upload the logs via hlep-> upload logs so we can find out what is happening. Clearing the .luagliderv19 folder will clear these logs so please be sure to replicate the problem and then upload the logs.

Regards,

M.Y. Developers

Yes. The same problem occur in all projects including corona sample codes.

Only plain black screen of the corona simulator.

I have uploaded the logs.

Hello Klim,

Please click on the build button (the hammer next to the run button) and when prompted please click “browse to build folder” and make sure that your files are present there.

http://view.xscreenshot.com/abbeb73e68d31f7a06e02dcfb634a4e5

also let us know what the path to your build folder is. Although Unicode characters in the path should not be an issue it might be.

Regards,

M.Y. Developers

Hello,

All of the required project files are in the folder:

http://gyazo.com/ef1de6714bb92e5bfa234a1440578096

In the link above you can see the build path. Yes, it contains Unicode characters. If I can change it to the shorter path i.e. “c:\corona_builds” , please tell me how.

Best regards,
 Klim
