No sound on iPad 1

Help! Our app is in the Apple store, it works great on iPad 2 and iPad 3. We are getting reports from users that they have no sound, and the one who wrote us says he has an iPad 1.

The app is free, and it’s called “GG Bridge”. Go ahead and get a copy!

The user says:
–Yes, I am running the latest version of iOS 5.1.1
–All other apps are closed, I shut down and restarted the iPad and still no
sound
–Other apps are playing sound; I listen to the Giro d Italia via Safari
every morning without a problem
–I did turn on the iBooks Online Audio & Video, but that made no difference

Is there any way to discover what might be going on? I don’t have an iPad 1. I have no troubles on the iPad 2 and iPad 3.

I don’t know where to begin with this! [import]uid: 37366 topic_id: 26737 reply_id: 326737[/import]

I just tried it on an iPad 1 with 5.0.1 and iPad 3 with 5.1.1. Both work fine. This type of problem is almost always user error, or occasionally an Apple bug that requires rebooting the device.

Also try rebooting the iPad.
Or plug in working headphones (maybe the user’s headphone jack is broken/stuck).

By the way, there was a daily build fix maybe a month ago that fixed an iOS 5 bug where running multiple OpenAL apps could crash the audio system when suspending and resuming between them. But killing and restarting the app with no others running would correct the problem.
