Nokia Store IAP support

Nokia is moving to get more Android apps published in their app store to support the forthcoming release of the Nokia X and other related Nokia phone models.

In researching the process of getting our apps onboarded to this store, I see that a new store plug-in (and target mode) will be needed to support IAP on this app store platform.

Nokia has provided step-by-step instructions on converting code from support Google’s IAP system to Nokia’s.

Details are here.

I think this is an opportunity for Corona to get an early heavy presence by facilitating app developers bringing their existing and future apps to this new monetization platfrom.

As a followup to this thread, I did more research and find that Nokia X software platform apps can only be made available as free unless you use Nokia In-App Payment items.  This means that we can’t monetize using Prepaid apps the same way that we do on the Tabeo platform.  This makes the creation of a Nokia X IAP plug-in even more critical.
