Hi,
I just got a Nook Color version 1.3 to test my apps on. But the App Installer will not allow me to instal it because it’s an “Unknown Source”. It’s easy to fix on android, but on the Nook there is no menu for it. DOes anyone know how to check Allow Unknown Sources?
Thanks. [import]uid: 90878 topic_id: 22027 reply_id: 322027[/import]
The nook doesn’t work this way. there is no “unknown sources”. You need to set it to developer mode. To do this, you need a developer account with nook. Once you have it, you can request a key. The key is dependant upon your nook device id. If you have an account, read here: https://nookdeveloper.zendesk.com/entries/20047496-how-do-i-use-developer-mode-on-the-nook-color-nook-tablet
Then install the drivers (pc) to access the nook from your computer:
Here is the link I used when I installed the drivers for Win 7:

Once you have the Nook in developer mode, use ADB to install the app directly.
Hope this helps. [import]uid: 67800 topic_id: 22027 reply_id: 87583[/import]
Thanks for the reply.
I’m still having issues. I’m on a mac and I can’t find any documentation anywhere on how to do this on the BN site.
I am a registered developer. I have the key. and I have Android SDK installed.
But after that, I’m stuck. Has any successfully got it to work using a Mac? I don’t even mind rooting it, but started the process but now having issues with the micro SD card being read. So went back to square 1. [import]uid: 90878 topic_id: 22027 reply_id: 87702[/import]
