Nook Build heeeeelllllllpppppp!

Hi All,

It’s been awhile since I did a Nook build, never had any problem, familiar with installing and uninstalling using ADB. But now all of a sudden when I try and open the app built with debug store key I am getting on Nook Tablet:

Warning:
“This device is not supported”

No idea why. My system has changed a little, I updated to Lion and Xcode 4.3.3, that’s all I can think of. The Nook Tablet is running version 1.4.3, and I am using Corona Build 2011.704

@kRona, I don’t know what the problem might be, but if I were you, I’d try using the stable build 840 and see if it makes any difference. I have no trouble generating NOOK build using daily build 840. I remember updating my Mac from Snow Leopard to Lion, and when I did, I moved on (i.e., started using build later than 704.) Again, I don’t know if it would fix the issue for you, but maybe it’s worth a shot?

You’ll get the “This device is not supported” message if your app was NOT built for Nook. Perhaps you chose the wrong build option by mistake? Or installed the wrong APK? I suggest you do a Nook build again just in case.

Also, the newest release build 840 has some Nook fixes that you are going to want. I suggest that you use it too. [import]uid: 32256 topic_id: 28852 reply_id: 116271[/import]

Oh frack I bet that was it…I’m not at my machine right now but I vaguely remember selecting Android like a dunce because I was working on the Google Play version at the same time.

p.s. thanks for the heads up on 840, will do. I was using a modified display.newText before retina text support came along (it did fun things like set the text color, multiline text, set reference point and all sorts of stuff including retina text) and it did not like 840, but since you recommend for the Nook fixes I should also update my function to work with 840.
