Nook/Fire - Landscape Mode vs Portrait have different Suspend behavior

Not sure if this is known - I’ve confirmed on NOOK and, though I don’t have hardware to prove it, feedback from Amazon app store makes me 99% sure the quirk still exists on the FIRE.

Reported as bug 9335:

On the NOOK, portrait apps that power off (not the “N” button - the power button) will stay in memory and be ‘resumed’ when you power back on. If you are a landscape only app, and you power off, then back on, your app will start up from scratch.

I am implementing full resume logic anyways but wanted to report this quirk in case anyone else is scratching their head - it took me a while to figure out.

Ya I have the same problem…
On my Nexus… Whenever I press my phone lock button or whenever the phone goes to sleep state, the app restarts.
But other events like phone calls just suspend the game. [import]uid: 64174 topic_id: 17353 reply_id: 67499[/import]

Any solution for this??? Ansca guys?
Its really irritating to start over the game from the beginning whenever the phone goes to sleep state. [import]uid: 64174 topic_id: 17353 reply_id: 67500[/import]

Did you guys ever find a solution for this problem? Are you still seeing this behavior? [import]uid: 67839 topic_id: 17353 reply_id: 110997[/import]

when I had the problem it was because I had to use an old version of corona SDK to compile for NOOK. On the latest stable build it’s all good. Haven’t tried on a nexus. [import]uid: 32462 topic_id: 17353 reply_id: 110998[/import]
