Hey guys
Anyone know how to make gorgeous screeshots for our apps??? It should be amazing
Thanks
Install on device or run in the OS X simulator.
That are simple screenshots…i wanna edit them and make them gorgeous…
Yes… install your app on an actual device or run it in the XCode simulator and use those to take screen shots. You could even just run it in the Corona sim and save a screen. Whatever you save it will only be able to have the pixels which the app renders on the screen. Making it ‘gorgeous’ is up to you, but you shouldn’t try to make the app better looking than it really is.
Define gorgeous.
well, by gorgeous i meant something advanced. See the screenshot below to get an idea
That’s not my definition of gorgeous…
apologies for my inconvenience
You are going to have to take a screen shot on simulator( Xcode or corona). Or put app on iPhone ,iPad, or iPod Touch, connect to mac, open xcode>windows>devices, select your device, and click the "take screen shot button. Once you have your screen shot, open photoshop, or other photo editor of choice. You can use tools like this to format all you screen shots. But depending on how far you want go you might edit the each of the screen shots to look like it was meant for that device like the uber screen shot looks different on google play (android phone skin), iPad (iPad skin), and so on.
I don’t think anyone has been inconvenienced. I think the point some of us are trying to make is you’re not giving us enough info to help you. You asked a very nebulous question: “How do I make a gorgeous screenshot?”
i.e. You didn’t give us any criteria or goals, but expected us to know what your personal definition of ‘gorgeous’ is.
That said, you’ve got some answers and I think you can get where you want to go:
- Take standard screenshots using either devices and/or simulated screens.
- Edit them in a tool of your choice.
- Be sure they fit the size requirements for the store/screenshot(s) you’re working on.
- Be sure they don’t violate the rules of the store you are posting to. Apple has a lot of rules so you should read their guides (links available on the Apple store or Google: ‘ios guidelines’) Ex: I thought the rule was no screenshots with actual phone bodies, just full screen. Although I’ve seen that not followed so…
