Me again. (As if you didn’t know already)
Just want to give you a what’s up part II or III or IV
And will make it brief.
Last few weeks, we have made a huge push for a bunch of fixes and performance improvements.
Example: an Android build test shows we improved build performance that will make all of you happy. Stuff that was taking us five to ten minutes for android builds on the server is now down to a minute or less. And we have done this across the board. On Android Windows/Mac and iOS builds.
And today we are code-freeze. That means that the only fixes we will do are for them egregious bugs that sneak up from now until next week. Otherwise, we are in full RTM mode for release next week. You read that right. Next week Thursday is our “D” day. Of course, absent any major crashing bugs or bugs that impede app builds.
There is a lot more to say, but I think that sums it up pretty well.
I am really excited about this release and I think you will be too.
Thank you again for your support and no time for us to rest. Immediately after the release I will update a roadmap, and provide guidance on the next set of killer features.
Most importantly, our next release, will focus on monetization. We will enable Corona to allow you to monetize in more ways than just ‘ads’.
Of course we will continue to fix bugs, add features, graphics, etc. So don’t think we are not going to just focus on monetization. That is the main focus, but all other features, bug fixes, etc. still play an important role so don’t ask me if we are not going to do this that and the other since we are focusing on monetization. Everything is fair game with us.
We are also going to be adding more support engineers to help us in both testing and monitoring our forums, as well as staffing up our engineering department with some great talent that will be mind blowing.
And watch out for an exciting announcement we are going to be making pretty soon.
