Awesome!

I am working with Corona and another similar product because their UI stuff is more evolved, but it looks like you are coming on strong on that front!

Not to mention you guys appear to be eating your own dog food and doing a lot of the actual UI in pure Lua, if that is what I can infer from the require(ā€œcoronauiā€) line of code, and given that you are doing it in 268.

I can’t wait all weekend, that is cruel.

It is all Corona Framework. And best part, it is cross platform. And even better than that ! you can add your own ā€œBlingā€

Gah!!! Why must you torture us and make us wait!!! [import]uid: 8782 topic_id: 6055 reply_id: 20740[/import]

Perfect  [import]uid: 10478 topic_id: 6055 reply_id: 20755[/import]

Two words…

AWESOME

Retina? [import]uid: 9371 topic_id: 6055 reply_id: 20778[/import]

On the UI front, you guys are the new Qt. That’s almost as awesome as your wallpaper!

Carlos,

I am very unhappy with this new development, if what is in the video you linked is what is in the next build. Miffed simply isn’t a strong enough word.

Why do we have to wait? You tease us with these videos! It’s too much, I tell you! I’m not going to sleep til the next release, I hope you realise that.

Love the Native UI controls … finally, CoronaSDK is not just a game development but a serious app development platform, catering to all requirements (with some more things expected soon) [import]uid: 3826 topic_id: 6055 reply_id: 20865[/import]

Hi Carlos, maybe the uncut dev videos are more exciting than the slick marketing videos.

Either ways, this is good news… +5  [import]uid: 3826 topic_id: 6055 reply_id: 20870[/import]

Carlos,

These look excellent! I’d really like to know how many new controls are on the way and how flexible they are.

I’m thinking about using Corona to blow away a project which has been in development hell for ages…

Bring it Carlos, bring it!

Carlos,

I am very happy that AnscaMobile is making these types of controls for the Corona SDK.

I really hope that at launch they are 100% ready for both Apple and Android. Not just one or the other, like some of the other features in corona right now.

The timing of this couldn’t be better. I’m just putting the finishing touches into my app which relies heavily on buttons, tab bar and the list / table view. I’ve managed to hack the current ui.lua to get the buttons and tab to support retina images and text but failed to get it working for the list/table view. So fingers crossed this will address that. Thanks Carlos! [import]uid: 9371 topic_id: 6055 reply_id: 20929[/import]

Amazing news!!! Can’t wait to get them!

Question for screen designer makers … Will you be able to update your designers to make UI placement a WYSIWIG experience?

Anyone out there planning to make a library to do DB stuff a little easier tied to the these new UI controls? That would be awesome! [import]uid: 11904 topic_id: 6055 reply_id: 20930[/import]
