Old Enterprise (ANT) project -> New NATIVE (Android studio + Gradle) project

For the past 3 weeks I have been trying to convert an old corona enterprise project (build scripts don’t work anymore) to a new corona native project. I have been able to make a lot of progress but I keep getting stuck on weird android errors with things like style xml errors with colours and what not. And I have no idea how I managed to get this far. Because I wanted to try and restart with the native project to see if I could do it right this time around. So I downloaded the new Corona daily build, ran the setup corona native file and copied over the app template.

Now this is where it gets very very confusing. when google searching I get 2 different search results on the corona documentation. One result (https://docs.coronalabs.com/native/android/index.html) says I just need to open the android folder with Android Studio (which doesn’t work at all). And the other guide (https://docs.coronalabs.com/native/android/androidStudio/setup.html#setuppreparation) is much more descriptive and longer and more complicated, but it keeps talking about Corona Enterprise, which is what I explicitly do not want to use since its old and not working here.

(Any documentation on corona native either doesn’t exist, is very vague or out dated)

By the way, the project I’m trying convert wads last successfully built in 2016. Im working from a Mac and I’m working from my local file system (not a network share).

So for my actual question:
Does anyone have any idea how I could convert an old enterprise project to a new native project? I am really stuck at this point.

Thanks in advance,
