One certificate, two dev profiles, neither accepted

I am completely new, but I have very carefully followed the videos on the Apple site and the tutorial on the Ansca site showing how to install the dev profiles for iOS. I am trying to build an iPad app and they two profiles show up as “(not installed)”. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, I know there was a long thread, but the answers seemed to be “turn it off and on again” - that is definately not working here and creating a new profile has not helped. The certificate is only 1 hr old!

Ok, solved it. I had missed the step telling me to go to the directory the certificate is downloaded to and to double click it to install it in the key chain. Everything worked like a charm after that!
