Only Android resolutions

Hi, I’m working at a new application (only Android). I’m at the start with Corona SDK. I read lots of topics on Android resolution screens but now I’m still more confused. 1-What is the basic resolution to use? 2-I’ve already the classic image backgrounds of iphone (320x480 and 640x960). Can I use them somehow even if the graphic isn’t perfect? How?

Please help me, I’m going crazy

Hello @nico.cardana,

Please view the following guide+video on “dynamic image scaling”. This should help you get started.

Something is more clear, but i can’t understand the width and the height to set :frowning:

Hi Nico,

Well, there is no “perfect size”, especially for Android. There are literally hundreds of different screen sizes on Android (Samsung alone produces nearly 30 different screen sizes). The benefit of Dynamic Scaling and image selection is that you don’t need to choose a “perfect” size. Instead, find a size that will work nicely for all devices, including Apple/iOS devices. Something like 800x1200 works well for many developers, while others prefer staying with the “classic” 320x480.
