Only in Corona do I get the error that says the executable was signed with invalid entitlements

I see alot of other people have this same error, but none of their solutions work for my issue and I cannot get around this error when I attempt to run it on an iphone.  (Using Corona starter 2014.2511 and xcode 6).

1)  I can run Xcode apps on my iphone without a problem.

2)  I created a new provisioning profile for the Corona app just like I do for #1.  They are definitely dev and are not distribution.

  1. I build for iOS and select the provisioning profile, then go to window devices in xcode and choose the app I just built with corona.

  2. I continue to get this error.

Any ideas what else to check?  I cant believe its this difficult when I can do them through xcode without a problem.  The corona app I also run on an iphone in the past without a problem, then had to redo the provisioning profile again when I renewed my license (but then again thats true with the apps I create in xcode also and those are fine, its only the app through corona that has this issue).

Thanks

Hi @JRin,

Did you remove all of the provisioning profiles from your MobileDevice folder, re-install them, then restart Corona?

~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles

Did you “refresh” your profiles from within Xcode > Preferences… > Accounts > View Details… ?

Yeah many times over.  I just re-did it again now, wiped out every prov. profile so the only one existing was the dev one for the corona app.  Did the build for ios (and as expected that 1 prof is the only one showing in the dropdown), still get the same error.  Definitely dev, definitely device chosen, definitely certificate chosen, cant get past this error.  The wierd thing is its just a corona issue, its not like this is happening in both xcode and corona.  I can do one in xcode and have it setup and working in no time, done in many times in the past few days, but doing it in corona gives the error everytime.  I’m confused how corona could be throwing this error when everthing else works fine, and its something that worked in Corona before renewing the dev license.  (But as I said thats also true with the xcode apps and I had no issue redoing those and running on that same device).

Is Corona storing or looking at something elsewhere that I’m missing?

Hi @JRin,

I’m not sure how much more advice I can provide, but I think I recently faced a similar issue (shortly after renewing my Apple license). I wrestled with some things, and in the end, I think the solution was to start completely over with a new certificate in the iOS Dev Center, and on the Keychain… not merely new provisioning profiles. In other words, I started from the ground up using our guide (http://docs.coronalabs.com/guide/distribution/iOSBuild/index.html) and then it all worked for me again.

Hope this helps somewhat,

Brent

Ok thanks anyways, I’ll probably have to try that in order to get this to work as I cant see any way to get past it.
