Orientation issue with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

  1. API gives different display.contentWidth and display.contentHeight values when you change orientations (Landscape and Portrait). And, this happens only when you start in one orientation (landscape or portrait) and then switch to other orientation (portrait or landscape).

  2. It happens on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - works fine with Nook & Droid devices and simulators.

Resulting - we couldn’t scale up full screen on Galaxy tab 10.1 when you change orientation.

A few other details

We are currently on 2012.721 build

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 running Android 3.1

App designed for 480 X 320 with letterbox scale

As I mentioned, works for all devices except for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 since API gives different contentWidth & contentHeight values when you change Orientation. [import]uid: 48484 topic_id: 20687 reply_id: 320687[/import]

I also have a GTab 10.1 and I develop with Corona but now I’m using only portrait orientation.
Then I’m interested in this post… Please, keep us informed with the problem.
If I can I will test if by myself. I’m also interested with test my apps in Kindle and Nook but I don’t have it then I’m going to contact you asap.

Hey Rajesh, have you filed this? Do you have a bug# I could pass on?

I think I deleted the previous email with case ID, I couldn’t search for it for some reason.

I just created another bug and the case ID - #11681.

Hope this helps. [import]uid: 48484 topic_id: 20687 reply_id: 81467[/import]

Thank you Rajesh, I’ll pass that along. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 20687 reply_id: 81470[/import]

What is the best way to track if this bug has been fixed apart checking from build release notes?

Will I get notified since I am the creator of the bug? [import]uid: 48484 topic_id: 20687 reply_id: 84640[/import]

I believe you can view the bug status from the link you were emailed when you created it, although I’m not certain. (I haven’t been on that side of things in awhile.)

You may get notified, it depends on who is working on the bug - else, yes, in the release notes
