OS X View As -> Custom Devices - Width/Height are switched

pretty self explanatory - unless I’m misunderstanding something, the width and height are switched.  I think it’s been this way in all builds, but definitely relevant as of 2014.2468

I did a quick test on a landscape only device.  I put in a width (shorter side) and a height (longer side) and it changed the screen correctly with 2468.  Remember in Corona SDK config.lua’s and devices are always specified in Portrait mode.

Rob

if an app is landscape, isn’t the width the longer side?  If that’s not the case I guess I’m using wrong terminology or something.

Sorry I edited my post above after you posted this.

When it comes to things like the config.lua or that setting, it’s always as if the device is in portrait mode.  Always specify the width as the short side.  Corona SDK will manage the flipping of the simulator (and device for the config.lua example) and setting the values correctly there.

Rob

Ah, that makes perfect sense - I think I remember reading that a while back and forgot about it.  Appreciate the quick response Rob, have a good one.
