Our 2nd App, Sink-It, is now in the iTunes Store!!!

Twisted MindGames’ second game app, Sink-It, made with Corona, was placed on the iTunes store today. We are a father and son company (just the two of us). This started as a hobby endeavor but we are really getting into it now. I (Odie - father) am in Indianapolis and my son (also Odie) lives in Los Angeles so we are spending much time on speakerphone these days.

I am providing a few PROMO CODES and would appreciate ratings and comments! Enjoy!

I took the last code YYLNE4MFHR3F.

Played the first 5 levels or so. Very good job, original idea. Good level of challenge to it. I usually burn through these types of puzzle games in a couple hours or so, so it’s good see one that makes you think. I’ll give it a good review. I played some more yesterday and finished the game in about 30 minutes. A few of the levels had me stumped for a bit (levels 10 and 13 ring in my mind) and I really do like the overall idea of this game, however you have to look at this from a user’s point of view. $1.99 for a game that has 16 levels is overpriced. Especially when the first few levels are throw away “training” type levels. I know you mention in the description that new board packs are coming soon but users don’t consider this after they’ve paid and finished the game.

Now I think you have a lot of potential here. If you work on polishing the visuals I’m sure that could result in a lot of downloads. Many people do not even read the description, they just jump to the screenshots (I have been known to be guilty of this).

Again, great job and I’ll continue to support your work. Please don’t take any of my comments negatively. [import]uid: 31262 topic_id: 7407 reply_id: 26275[/import]

Thanks for taking a look at Sink-It and for your comments. I have to say that you have to be pretty sharp to solve all the levels that quickly. But, most of us here, on this Forum, are programmers and being good problem solvers goes with the territory. I originally did this game in Flash and I have seen many people that could not even get past level 3.

I did take your advice and I dropped the price to .99.

It appears that if one uses the PROMO CODES to purchase an app then they are not allowed to rate or leave comments on the App Store!

Does anyone have a technique or any advice for making Icons?

That’s odd, it let me leave a review no problems. In regards to your puzzles, I definitely did find some very challenging and I can see the puzzles were all very well thought out.

In regards to your icons I can see there is a program to assist with icons on the Corona tools menu
http://www.anscamobile.com/corona/tools/

Also you can check out Biffy Bebee’s icon pack. She sells 50 pre-made icon templates for $10.
