Parameters for hideOverlay?

Hello,

I was curious as to why there is no ability to return parameters from an overlay. That would be very handy. What is the recommended work around for this functionality?

Thanks in advance. [import]uid: 202223 topic_id: 35244 reply_id: 335244[/import]

That is a frequent complaint about hideOverlay. I’m told we are planning to attack Storyboard after we get the new widgets out the door.

Excellent. Storyboard is a great tool. For the time being I’m just using the global “storyboard” to attach some vars.

Thanks for the response.

Is there no work around for this? I really need to be able to pass back some data from the overLay to the original scene.

I have to admit, the more I use Corona to try to make my business app, the more I’m running into really annoying simple stuff like this. The overlay itself was a workaround for another problem I was having.
