Particle Effects bugged/broken?

So I was just wondering if other people are having issues calling json files and adding them into lua tables. I have looked at just about every tutorial I can find, including the one provided in the Corona Academy, and I still can’t seem to make it work. I went to go look at the sample code provided in the client as well to make sure I was doing everything correct, and when I tried running the sample code provided not even they work. Tried all of them. I’ll post the pictures to the errors down below. Still not sure if it is something I’m doing wrong or not. I am more than willing to post the code that I am trying to use if anyone has any helpful tips. I have only been trying to load in one emitter as well, but no luck.

Error 1 is the one I keep getting no matter what code I try using, just occurs at different lines of the code. Error 2 occurs when trying to load in the sample particle effects located in the main directory. Thanks for your time!

What build of Corona SDK are you using?

Also, these may be a premium graphics feature, open to Pro and Enterprise subscribers.  The samples are in the “Graphics-Premimum” folder which leads be to believe that may be the problem.  Though you should get a more descriptive error if that’s the case.  I’m trying to find out.

I am currently using the public build. Actually that would make sense if that were the case. Yeah, if I could find out that would be great. I have the code for everything ready to go. I’d have no problem buying pro if I had to. Thanks for your help and time, I appreciate it.

I’ve emailed the team, but since it’s Sunday, I may not hear back from them until Monday or so.

Great! That sounds awesome! Thanks for trying, I’ll check back tomorrow. Until then I’ll continue adding assets to the code. I really appreciate your help. Have a good day

Hello @rburns629,

Particle emitters via our APIs is restricted to Pro/Enterprise users. We’ve just updated our pricing page along these lines… you can see a full list of the features on the following page (click the link to expand the sub-windows).

Take care,

Awesome, thanks for letting me know. Well, you just earned yourself a new Corona Pro costumer as of next week. Looking forward to being a part of the community! Thanks for the information, I appreciate it.

Can you still post some of your code where you’re string to create your emitter?

Thanks

Rob
