Passing POST DATA to a urlRequest handler

I’m using a web overlay and want to pass some data back to lua. The documentation on the urlRequest handler is pretty slim, so I’m wondering if it’s possible to “intercept” an HTTP POST in the urlRequest handler and somehow pass along POST DATA. Or should I encode it in the URL itself?
