Performance : Sprite/groups/images

Hello every one, 

 

I’m working on an “old school parallax 2D plateform game” and I have questions about framerate/performance.

 

  • when I move a display group (parallax) with many frames (all my level with pictures and sprites). If some of them are out of the screen, is there an impact on framerate ?

 

  • I understand that animated sprites outside of the screen should be desactivated (not playing) for performance reason. Is that right ? Should I made them invisible too ? Or it’s not an issue for framerate ? (GPU is making his job) 

 

Actually, I have a routine to stop physics, particules and animations for items outside of the screen, and I don’t know if I should do the same thing for sprites, pictures (isVisible) …
