I would like to know this as well. Box2d performance on the android is horrible. The sound delay bug has been around for months now I’m really surprised it has not been addressed. [import]uid: 7177 topic_id: 21842 reply_id: 87217[/import]

Wow, for me it’s the opposite: a very slow physics performance in iPhone/iOS simulator; in real and simulator Android device very fast with in Worlds of 20/40 physics’ sprites. Even not bad (only a litle bit slow) in old Android devices with 600 MHz but better than in iOS. Why? [import]uid: 41145 topic_id: 21842 reply_id: 87350[/import]

I tried comparing the upper bound of what physics can support without slowdown and the limit seemed definitely higher on the simulator than on the actual devices. I could throw in about 200 objects before the slowdown was noticeable on my Infuse 4G, but the simulator was still going strong
in the 400 range. I presume that an older device, would still be smooth with
about 100 objects, but that’s just speculation.
