@robmiracle - You can use your own images by hitting the “Photo” button on the “Choose Background” screen. There’s a screenshot of that screen under #2 here:

I’ll take your comment as “make it more obvious how to use your own images” 
I know there are a couple of similar products that assume you are always using your own image and they take you through a process where you pick the image first every time. We thought about that, but opted for the current approach. We might revisit that.
