Just wondering. There is an upcoming retro-console (very cute one) called Playdate. As I may see at their website they are going to publish their SDK soon and it will be based both on C and LUA. Here is: https://play.date/dev/ It would be interesting if Solar2D would support that platform:)
I might be missing something, but I’d wager the chances of Solar2D being able to build for Playdate in the future are close to 0%. Also, like you pointed out, they’ll have their own SDK rolled out soon.
Even if it were possible to integrate their build process to Solar2D, I doubt many of Solar2D’s API would be compatible with Playdate. It’d also likely be so much work that it wouldn’t make any sense.
If you wish to develop for Playdate, you’d best do it using their SDK when it gets released.
