Please help me getting started, just 2 small questions

Hii,

i have gone throught this tutorial

and i am ready with this project, just need to know 2 things -

i have installed this jdk, jdk-7u2-windows-i586.exe , i am on windows 7, now when i build for Android it says - could not find Java Development Kit, This is required to build for android.

What do i do ?? have i installed something wrong ?? This is my 1 hour in corona , please help me.
2. I have downloaded their free version, what do i need to do to test it on my android mobile ??? [import]uid: 120308 topic_id: 20769 reply_id: 320769[/import]

Is this “jdk-7u2-windows-i586.exe” JDK 7?

in this tutorial they are downloading the same jdk 7…

if this is the reason, can you please show me the link for exact jdk 6 …

Does it matter downloading the x86 or x64?

PS: Considering win7 64bit PC?

I think the video mentioned to get the x86 version even if you’re on the 64bit. It states that this is a common mistake many people made when downloading.

@ersaurabh101,

I believe YES, WE CAN build for Android version over the 2.2 (supported by CoronaSDK), because what I think is if we can build for 2.2 surely the user running Android over this version should be able to get our app without problem. So to summarize I believe we do not need to worry about this. IMO.

PS: BUT be sure am far from an Android expert btw. I`ve just started (like you sound like)
