Please Help with sound problem.

Hi,

I have a children’s app in the apple App Store for some time now which is based on comparing sounds. The problem is that some customers say that it doesn´t play any sounds. As all my devices and the devices from my beta testers play the sound without problems, I suspect that it has strangely to do with the country. The people in the comments are from the US. And I have some education program sales ( schools and kindergarten from canada and all over europe) with personal contacts and no complains.

So if your from the USA, please take a promocode and give me feedback. If you are not from the us please just ask for another promocode. Thanks in advance!

Something I’ve noticed can cause complaints from users is that Corona-made apps honor the ringer mute switch on iOS devices, so if users have the ringer silenced by using the physical switch, your app won’t make any sounds. Since not all apps behave this way, it can create confusion on the part of the user. (“App A can make sounds, so this must be a problem with app B!”)

Unfortunately, since we can’t respond to reviews on the app store, your best bet is to put some sort of note in your app description, or hope that affected users will email you before posting a negative review.

Of course, there might be some sort of bug causing this, but if it works consistently for you and for most of your users, I’d bet that the mute switch is likely to blame.

Oh, and I used promo code “LLTH7HHPWHT9” - very generous of you to make them available!

Worked fine for me (but not if I mute my ringer). Cute app, by the way! I like the curtain mechanic and the way the cards flip is very pleasing.

Thank you very much. Maybe I have small info screen at the start of the app.
