Rob
Email them again.
I don’t know how much email they get, but is easy for something to get missed.
Rob
Hello @Rob, well I sent again as suggested 2 weeks ago but again no response. I sent emails both on the contact form, on email of Director of Ad Tech and linkedin. So obviously no further can be done. At least we should deserve a response.
Fellow devs in the forum, unfortunately, you are on your own for the moment since we cannot do anything more. If we have any update we would let you know.
For a moment there I thought you were just about to announce the availability of the plugin from the Corona Labs Store - I am sure there are are many members of the community who are eagerly awaiting the release of this plugin.
Best of luck and hope this is release soon.
Is there an update on the status of this PlugIn as I would really like to use it?
Thanks
hello @anil8 thank you for your interest in Pollfish plugin. Unfortunately as you may see we have no response neither from Fuse powered nor anyone in the forums from the Corona SDK so there is nothing we can do.
@Andreas58, I realize this might be a bit of a problem with me not knowing the drop off the ledge, but would it be at all possible to re-write the plugin in pure Lua? If you did, you could package up the plugin for any Pro developer to utilize.
Obviously I suggest this without knowing thing #1 about how your Polling functionality operates, so it’s entirely likely that it isn’t feasible.
I thought the issue was more that CL were not allowing any competing Ad Networks to be submitted to the Plugin Store, as per the post on 21st June :
Hello everyone, i just got an email today after the submission of Pollfish plugin as Rob suggested:
The exception is that we will not allow plugins for ad network SDKs. Most ad network SDK/plugins will be provided via the Fuse Powered plugin.
I also emailed Fuse Powered for considering the release of Pollfish plugin but with no luck/response…
Having that said I would have to say that unfortunately anyone that would like to use Pollfish plugin is on his own since no further actions can be done from our side…
This doesn’t make too much sense to me as Corona supports other Ad Networks (AdMob/iAds/Vungle) as Plugins - so don’t understand why they would block this innovative new monetization option?
Wonder it’s possible to get a formal response from CL staff as to what the blocks are to getting this Plugin on to the store?
Anyone on the CL staff able to provide an update?
Let’s stop trying to go the CL route, and see if Andreas can do something on his own here.
Andreas, the idea of getting CL to approve and implement a plugin is just so that they can host the information on their servers. This way, folks can just “require” it and leave the heavy lifting to CL. However, in your case, I think letting us do some of the heavy lifting would get this plugin into as many hands as possible. What I was attempting to describe above, is another avenue to have a plugin be available to the greater Corona Pro-level subscription community. This is by writing your plugin in pure Lua (or with a bridge therein), and letting folks implement it in their own projects, without the CL middle-man server.
Below is a link describing the process to produce these kinds of plugins and a forum link that goes into a bit of detail regarding how and why this type of plugin would be useful outside of the Corona store. Take a look, and let us know what you think.

Hello @Alex@Panc and anil8. Thank you for your interest at Pollfish plugin. Due to your posts here we received a response from FusePowered on the submitted plugin a couple of days ago so we believe now we will find a way to proceed. We will post here any updates!
p.s. (Generally speaking I would like to mention here that in the way the plugin is structured it is not possible to be re-written in pure Lua)
Hi Andreas,
I’m glad that the posts from both Alex and I may help in getting the Pollfish PlugIn on to the Corona PlugIn Store - I will definately be using it if it becomes available.
Hi Andreas,
has there been any updates on this? I really want to try this on my apps.
Note: Your pollfish.com link at the top points to a very long URL (click counter) that is dead.
You’re going to lose readers right there as some folks won’t take the time to type the link in manually or to copy & paste it… You may want to edit the post and change it to https://www.pollfish.com/
PS - Aside from my note above, this is very exciting. I will look into integrating this into a game I’m releasing today. I’ll post back when I have more to say about the experience.
hey @roaminggamer thanks for the deads up! I edited and fixed the links in the post! If you need anything regarding Pollfish I will be happy to help!
You’re welcome. I didn’t want you to miss out on users.
Please note, I noticed after the fact that this requires using Enterprise. This is not a big problem, but I’m not currently set up for Enterprise development, so I’m going to complete the release of my app without polls for now, then when I get my Mac set up for Enterprise again, I’ll release an update.
In the interim, I think there is an opportunity here to collaborate with a developer to get this plugin modified and released on the upcoming Corona store.
If you can find a developer that can modify this ‘enterprise’ plugin to be a ‘pro’ plugin, you’ll get a lot more traction.
While the possibility of higher earnings is VERY attractive, folks will be put off by having to dig into enterprise to enable it.
Please note: I am in no way trying to diminish this plugin. It is a wonderful concept and I am looking forward to having the time to integrate it.
I’ll write again. Till then, I’m going to e-mail a compatriot of mine who is a ‘enterprise’ expert to suggest he look into your plugin.
+1 to Ed’s point. I situation is pretty much identical to his, and I would have implemented the plugin yesterday, had there been a simple “pro” option. As Ed said, this isn’t a knock against the plugin, but you’d be able to serve 100x more Corona devs if it was a drop-in module.
I would try this if it existed.
