PonyWolf Tile Map Loader

So I am using PonyWolf loader to import a map that I’ve made in Tiled, however there isn’t a lot of tutorials on it and I am very new. I’ve managed to add a map and a character object to a game with it, but the animation on the character is not playing in game and only in Tiled Editor.

This is what I get in Corona Console.

Anyone got an idea on what I should do?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Are you sure there are not a lot of PonyTiled tutorials?  There are several here on this site, plus YouTube, plus the templates in the free marketplace.

  2. Regardless, I am not sure if PonyTiled supports animations out of the box.  You’ll need to go with one of the other tiled loaders here.

Some point (perhaps 1.0 of Tiled, they changed the default for internal vs. external tilesets. Most Corona libraries were based on the pre 1.0 version and all of the PonyWolf samples have the pre-1.0 version of the tiled map loader.

However, @PonyWolf announced the other day (maybe on Slack, or social media) that they are now compatible with the latest Tiled so I would recommend finding their github page and getting the latest version if you’re going to be using the latest version of Tiled.
