Possible to play audio while app backgrounded/suspended?

Assuming “UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend” might have something to do this - haven’t tried it yet, but have two questions:

  1.  Is it possible to start music inside Corona, and when the app is suspended the music keeps playing?   Similar to how most apps like Music, Rdio, Spotify, etc…   

  2.  Would the “applicationSuspend” event still fire if listened for if UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend set to false in build.settings?
