Post to Facebook Wall and send Message to a friend

I have looked around and I am having a bit of how hard time in understanding how to post your score to the facebook wall. Or also send a message to a facebook friend with your score. Can anyone give me some pointers? I understand the api login part just don’t understand how to do the actual post and send to a friend.
