Pretend Ad Rectangle

So I’m sure there are very good reasons why we can’t show actual ads in the simulator. It would, however, be very helpful if a fake ad showed up for just inMobi and Inner-Active. This would make properly positioning ads MUCH easier and less time consuming. The “fake ad” just needs to be a rectangle or something basic like that.

Take a look in Code Exchange. There are a couple of codes which sorta do that. [import]uid: 64174 topic_id: 24924 reply_id: 101185[/import]

It don’t think hw wants a “couple of codes” who do that.

I think he wants just simply put some built in functions that allows one when having Adsupport in the code, simple black bounding box examples for the different standard types of ads and whew the are appearing.

+1 And I agree with him.

I have tried to make my own code to do this but my little rectangle never quite seems to match where the ads ultimately end up. Perhaps my rectangle is the wrong size–not sure.

I’d really like to see this built into Corona–seems like it’d be very simple to accomplish and it would save me literally hours of frustration with each new app. In the mean time, Satheesh, I checked code exchange and couldn’t really find anything. If you could point me in the right direction I’d be much obliged. Thanks! [import]uid: 94309 topic_id: 24924 reply_id: 101404[/import]

Anyone from Ansca out there? This seems like it would be very simple to implement. If you do so I’ll reward you with hundreds of dollars in subscription fees for years to come. (Especially if Box2d starts working right…) [import]uid: 94309 topic_id: 24924 reply_id: 101406[/import]
