pricing

Just read: http://blog.anscamobile.com/2010/09/theyre-here-corona-sdk-and-corona-game-edition/

where it says: Corona SDK is available now for $249/year, and Corona Game Edition is available for an introductory price of $349/year.

Just curious as to what the non introductory price will be and how it will affect our renewals. [import]uid: 8434 topic_id: 2076 reply_id: 302076[/import]

You will always have to renew your subscription to the price that is valid and that moment. That is the down point when you use Corona. You gotta pay or stop developing with it. [import]uid: 5712 topic_id: 2076 reply_id: 6168[/import]

I know it’s subscription based. The wording they used implies that the price is going to be raised in the future. I just want to know what it is before I get to invested. [import]uid: 8434 topic_id: 2076 reply_id: 6169[/import]

I’m guessing it could mean that your first year would be $349 but it’ll go up for the next year? [import]uid: 9033 topic_id: 2076 reply_id: 6202[/import]

“You gotta pay or stop developing with it.”

Really? I’ve looked all over the Ansca site and don’t see that spelled out anywhere. And that’s not usually what a subscription means, that you have to stop using the tool when your subscription runs it.

It usually means you get updates for as long as your subscription is active and if you don’t renew you can still use the last version you got, you just won’t receive any updates with bug fixes, new features, etc.

If Ansca really “turns off” your copy of Corona when your subscription expires, could someone point me to where that’s explained?

Thanks.
