Print screen from simulator

Is it possible to make a print-screen from the simulator ?

(not through code, from the simulator interface)

You must submit new screenshost to Apple:

1136 x 640 (landscape)
1136 x 600 (landscape)

(not sure if you have to submit both ?)

Second question is, if I make the print-screen from the simulator (iPhone5 skin) will I get the right dimensions ?

Regards,
Damir.

On Mac, you should have an app called Applications/Utilities/Grab.app

It’s a nice little screenshot tool, although it takes a screen of the UI, though it’s probably a 2 minute process to crop it in something like Paintbrush.app (which is free). [import]uid: 134101 topic_id: 31196 reply_id: 124743[/import]

The Xcode simulator also has a grab screen option, CMD+S will save a screenshot while using it. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 31196 reply_id: 124790[/import]

Hey Super Miss, yeah, it`s you @Peach! :slight_smile:

Well, did you know that I did not know about the CMD+S on Xcode Simulator?! o.O
What a GREAT tip right now as am preparing few screenshots for the iPhone5 already and I was actually thinking how would I go forward on that and SO, you come in!

PS: Now, already “exploring” you, could you tell me “where” these grabbed screenshots from the CMD+S will be saved?
Thanks a lot one more time!
BTW you are one person that deserves all my gratitude always (even not able to see you face-to-face, lol)

I tried CMD+S but can’t find the print-screen.

Where should it be located ?

Thanks for the kind words Rodrigo, most appreciated :slight_smile:

This depends on your version of Xcode, one version did have an issue, I believe that was 4.2- but if you have a working version;

~/Library/Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Screenshots

Peach :slight_smile:

PS - You can of course also use CMD+Shift+3 if this doesn’t work in your version and simply crop. Easiest way I find to do this is make new image in Photoshop dimensions of screenshot and drag it so it lines up nicely, then save. [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 31196 reply_id: 124922[/import]

@Peach,

Great, thank you!

My Xcode is the latest one 4.5 and so I`ll check it out to see if it works as we are speaking here.

BTW, thanks for giving the path as it can make the things easier as well as the Photoshop tip as it looks to be other better way. :slight_smile:

PS: Always appreciate your replies as well :wink:

No worries Rodrigo, let me know if it works - I hope so. I haven’t updated yet, I should, I know. When I’m done traveling :slight_smile:

@Peach,

Sincerely, I did not test it as yet and so I can`t say if it is working as expected or not but soon I will have something more interesting to say about it. :wink:

Thank you much!
