1st launch on App Store only English.

I translated to French version which is available on android 1st April. I do think the localization helps. I am translating to russian and chinese now.

To sell 416 copies on day one on the iOS --, how many views did you have on your page? My first App only had 200 views! It seems to me you would need like 4000+ views to sell that many copies(if 1% people buy your app). How did you get so much traffic to your app? Was it your Thunderclap campaign that helped you? Any advice for us lowly newbies   :slight_smile:

I don’t know the app store page view count on day 1 as the apple app analytics was not up yet. My life time click through rate is 0.036% so to get 400+ I need 14k views. It is very low % but consider my game is niche(lots of words) and expensive (cost much more than $0.99) I think it is reasonable.

I doubt I have that many views on 1st day, but I been having beta testing for 2 months before launch and many beta testers helped to boost up my thread on toucharcade.com which I believe is the primary source of 1st day buyers. 

But 400+ overall gets you no where on the chart and the download rate dropped by half each day. I think a good 1st day for paid app needs at least 5k download.

Get featured by apple is still the best. Other wise a famous youtuber/streamer play your game. 

Any chance you could give another update on sales figures now that you’ve been running for several months (launch sales vs persistence sales)?
