PROBLEM - NOOK 2.1 added Google Play to their tablet

Got this email from BN:

"The NOOK Software version 2.1 Update is now available for NOOK HD / HD+. Customers will receive this new software update automatically over the air starting on Friday May 3rd. This update will deliver new features including Google services such as Gmail, Google Maps, Google+, Chrome browser, and Google Play.

Through this update, you will now be able to deploy additional services to your apps (such as location and maps, data back-up and Google+ login) which were not previously supported on NOOK devices."

Essentially this means Nook users will now be able to install our Corona apps directly from Google Play. The big problem is that apps built for Google Play CANNOT be ran on a nook tablet as I’m getting an error message that the app was not built for NOOK.

Please a quick response would be great! This effects any user that publishes to google market and it will cause negative reviews in no time.

Did your update your Nook HD/HD+ and download the app through the Google Play store or did you use other means(loading directly).

Let me make sure the Engineers are aware of this.

For now, until we get a chance to deal with this, you can on Google Play take the Nook’s out of the valid devices that Google Play can sell for.

I’ve noticed (David’s post) that this has been resolved in the latest daily build.

Thanks!
