Hello. I have a problem with the debugger. Whatever I try to run through it, it freezes and gives me a ‘not responding’ error. I am running Windows 7 and corona Current Public Release (2014.2511) I first try to debug my own code and figured it must be something wrong with my code ( as the program also froze on android devices), but then I tried to create a new test project (tab bar application) and run it through the debugger wihtout doing anything to it, and now it also froze. Any idea whats up? =)
I have the same problem but with Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Corona: Version: 3.0.0, Build: 2014.2511)
I have the same problem with OS X 10.10.1 and Corona 2014.2511. When it did not work with my project I tried with a few of the sample projects but the problem was still there. How ironic, a bug in the debugger…
Anyone from Corona who knows what’s going on?
Unfortunately there’s an issue with the debugger for Starter users which we are looking into but it should only happen if you use the “locals” or “dump” commands which no one mentions above (I know the debugger is pretty much useless without these but I want to make sure we are seeing the same thing). We’re looking into how to fix it.
I used “New Project” to create a new “Tabbed App” and was able to run it so if you could list the exact steps you did that would be great.
@Perry: how is the fix going? I’d really need the debugger…
FYI: I did not use any commands, I just tried to start the debugger via IntelliJ. Before getting to the part where I fiddle with commands, I just wanted to get IntelliJ to start the debugger executable. At first I thought that IntelliJ did something, but then I realized that it was the debugger.
We’ve been testing a beta build of CoronaSDK which fixes the debugger issue for Starters:

Let us know how it works for you.
